Leadership Development Program 2025

From July 18 to August 1, Northern Youth Leadership’s Leadership Development Program brought together youth aged 18–30 from across the Northwest Territories for an unforgettable experience on the Keele River in the Sahtu. This 12-day whitewater canoe trip offered participants the chance to build leadership skills, strengthen connections with one another, and deepen their relationship with the land. Guided by experienced mentors and community leaders, the group navigated the powerful currents of the Keele, faced challenges with teamwork and resilience, and created lasting memories along the way.
